The fact that MSDE is 100% compatible with SQL is a good place to start. It certainly would be easier to upsize your apps to larger versions of SQL. As for apps that need to be deployed in mobile situations, I think MSDE is a great alternative to VFP tables. With VFP tables, you need to write too much implementation code to get the same functionality with respect to replication. No thank you!!
