Ok, that eliminates the most obvious. So both the original and copied directories are on a C: drive, not a network drive, so UNC vs driver letter conventions are not an issue either. And you said some tables opened and others from the same DBC do not. Hmmmm...
Is there anything special about the file names of the tables that are not found? Are there other files with the same names as these tables in different directories on the same machine that could be pathed? How about the dates and times of the tables that do not work. Are they the same as the dates and times in the original directory? If not, maybe those files didn't copy? If there is a mismatch in the field list, that would imply that the tables are from an older version/release? Let me think of some possibilities, but if anyone else has a clue, just jump in.
