Let me express very firmly that I am not "the weasel".

That being said, I think "exposing the weasel" would be nothing but counterproductive, and create more bad sentiment that we already have here.

The UT is usually a pleasant and friendly forum. Much more than any newsgroup, and more than other technical forums I frequent. Lately, it has felt more like a newsgroup.

We are all responsible for keeping the UT a productive and fun place to be, and it seems (particularly since the "VFP vs VB" thread) a few of us are forgetting that.

IMHO, there is NEVER a place for personal attacks here, not even after you have been attacked. It forces the rest of us to wade through a bunch of kindergarten crap to get to the technical issues. Any good member of the community should recognize and respect expertise in a subject or field, but we should all remember that the topics discussed and the opinions expressed here are just opinions. Calling someone else's assertion "ridiculous", or "stupid" is unprofessional, even if the assertion is ridiculous or stupid.

Letting personal beefs and issues dominate the scenery here is a travesty. "Exposing the weasel" is just putting an official sponsorship on the whole ridiculous issue.

I agree with Michel's decision wholeheartedly. Let it rest.
