ActiveX controls in VFP
Hi Denis.
>When I installed (with setup) my application I installed it only with the VFP version 6 of the OCXs.
That's because in the Setup Wizard, you chose version 6 of the controls. You have the option of choosing which control you want included in the setup files.
>When I do a setup should I include both OCXs versions as well or only one version.
I suggest installing only one version, the one you actually use.
>What I'd like to know out of this is how can I make an installation so that I don't have to use FOX.REG ?
Yes, because SFActiveX (which we use as the ActiveX loader object at runtime) checks if the license key for the ActiveX control can be found in the Registry, and if not, puts it there so the user won't get an error when the control is instantiated.
