I really think in this situation Michel would have done much better to just keep it to himself. To tell John that the person who did this is known, but John can't know who it was that attacked him is like the police telling my sister that they know who raped her, but because of privacy rules they won';t tell her who it was. A lawyer has client privilege to fall back on to support not telling, but this is not a lawyer.

I beleive that what was done to John was so low handed that the preson who did it should be banned from the UT for life, but that is my opinion.

In the law a person cannot bring a liable suit unless they have been damaged, well, John is no longer a sysop here and it is directly relatedf to the weasel who posted that comment. John has done nothing but present the issue to us all publically and teh weasel hasn't even had the courage to appologize or to try and defend their actions. Now they are hiding behind Michel for anonymity.

I think Michel's only error was telling John anything about knowing who and what went on, he really should have kept that to himself.
