I actually believe that placing application settings in a system wide resource is a horrible idea. You should be able to remove the application and all of its effects simply by deleting parent and child directories.
If every VFP application had its own XML registry, I think that would be much the better.
Same thing with DLL's. They should be local to the application if they are in any way specialized for that app.
