Good point about the framework, Mike. We use Visual Maxframe, and form positions are saved in their User Pref file. We found that distributing that file to clients caused the form to center on their 600 X 800 screens as if it were on OUR 21" 1280 X 1084 setting. We were lucky if they could find a corner and drag it onto their screen :-)
