>Here's how it went with me: Tried to install from CD, couldn't see that hard disk...well..duh!...after an hour or so figured out it was because it was FAT32. So, FDISK and reformat into FAT. Booted from floppy....damn! Forgot to check out the MSCDEX setting. Had to reinstall from Config CD to see what that setting was. Got it, created a good boot floppy. FDISK and FORMAT again....booted up. Installed NT. Applied SP5. Applied Toshiba NT drivers (which took me about 30 min to find and 30 min to download). Tested with Word. OK. Tested with VFP. OK. Tested with a simple little game....BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH. Game should work! Backed out the custom ATAPI driver and used the SP5 ATAPI driver. Game now worked but getting an Event log error about some hardware not working. Figured it was related to RAS or TCP/IP and tried to uninstall Networking. Kablam. Somehow the entire system went to pot. Went back to square one (FDISK) and this time applied the Toshiba drivers BEFORE

John,

*G* Well, I got my NT workstation to boot without having the Event Manager complaining which is IMO something of a miracle. *g* I'm really hoping that W2K will be more stable. From what I've seen it has the look of a winner. -- so far......

Best,
