Just to clarify, I had two seperate problems with the grid. One was the delete record wouldn't go away when using buffering. A combination of skips and changing the height of the grid's header as noted in one of Michel Fournier's messages worked. I just wasn't paying attention close enough. The other problem I still am having, but am not to concerned about at this point, is the issue with the deletemark on the grid. If you mess with the mark more than once (wo, that's scary) you'll get the message "Record in Use by another user". This was supposed to be fixed in 3.0b Oh Well, I'm moving forward, I won't dwell on it. Thanks you guys for the suggestions.
