I agree, I think you should strive to learn other languages, especially if you want to stay employed. In fact, once you become proficient in one, the others come much easier. The languages these days are becoming so similiar that someday their may not be much difference at all. I've heard on a few occassions that MS was going to come out with a common IDE.
About XML. As the popularity of XML grows, I think we are going to see a growing demand for VFP, mostly as a middle tier object. With its powerful native data engine, string manipulation and OOP, I can think of no other product better suited for working with XML and data in the middle tier.
