Hi Bob.

>A little of both. With stored procedures, or even SPT for the main maintenance type forms I would loose the use of DBCX, which gives me the ability to give the user alot of control over the application.

Although I haven't worked on it for a while, I've started on a new version of DBCX that will keep meta data on more than just VFP tables. I added support for "connections" (whether ADO or SPT), ADO record sets, and other goodies. I added the ability to define "named" ADO record sets and connections, so you can use code like oMeta.OpenRecordSet("My Record Set"), and it'll use the meta data to know what connection to use, what SQL SELECT or SP to call, etc.

As I said, I haven't worked on this for a while, and don't have a timeframe for release, but thought you might be interested to hear where we're going.

Doug
