As Arnon mentioned; try to open all of your tables. This is one of the most resource intensive operations of Foxpro. In most cases, I try to open all of my tables during the Login process. This seems to do the trick for me. Also, are U doing any strange things in your Init that would slow the screen painting down? i.e., loading arrays or temporary cursors? I just thought of another trick I am using currently. I use thumb tabs on most of my screens. Two of the primary thumb tabs are Data Entry and List. List is the default page which appears when the form is launched. This seems much faster that displaying all of the controls on the data entry page. Just a thought... HtwH.
