I do pretty much these exact things. Search for MAPI in the Files section to find something by NigelBCoates if you don't want to start on your own.

But! MS Simple Mapi clients are horrible, IMHO, they are always changing, never bug free and always incompatible. I would suggest instead using FTP back and forth. I wish I had, its too late now... save yourself ... IMHO.
