Hi Doug
Sorry for my late reply, but I was extremply busy with a large project.
I am the one who wrote the AFP.
however people like it or does not like. *I* am working with the AFP in a very mixed mode.
For simple output to a html-page I am using the VFP-Code right inside of the HTML. That is what "beginners" are doing.
If the logic gets complicated, then I am writing classes or normal functions which I can normaly debug inside VFP. If I am ready I just transfer the compiled FXP´s or the VCX´s to the server and inside the page (or better in the global application.prg) I link it with "set proc to ..." or "set classlib to"
Then I can use the functions inside the AFP-Pages.
What the main "goodie" is .... I am doing it from my home and the webserver can be in america or germany. I am working with normal Frontpage to programm my webserver. I need no OOP, but I can use it if I want. I can concentrate on the webdesign and the code inside is just....a useful "add on"
