My guess is that you need to rework the detail section of your report so that the height of each detail line is exactly one 10 point character in height - I don't use the report writer when I know I want ASCII output...

If you do, I'd also rework the report so that the fonts used are all monospaced fonts (like Courier 10); it'll make alignment easier to visualize.
