>Bill, Wouldn't it make more sense to know both products before you consider one to be better? I understand your bitterness at losing your association with the product.

I am sorry if I sounded bitter to you, I'm not at all. I wasn't slamming the product in my opinion at all. My statement was short and concise, that's all. In my opinion, and thats all it is, AFP like most products has it's limitations. I'd love to see some larger scale apps that were done in AFP and what the maintenance is like on them.

The nature of a scripting language lends itself to the same limitations we dealt with in the 1.x and 2.x versions of FoxPro, that was the point I was trying to make and evidently didn't get across.

>However, there are several valuable products on the market, perhaps equal with one another. I don't think we should attempt to run any of them down, especially for personal reasons.

I didn't feel I had run the product down, if it appeared that way then I apologize profusely.

>I think you know that AFP is as good as West Wind, if not better, is and can easily be used for long term development.

Actually I don't know that since I don't have experience with West Wind as I've stated several times in my postings. My opinion that I stated about West Wind for larger scale apps was based on conversations I've had with developers using the West Wind product and my limited experience looking at Visual WebBuilder.

Once again, I apologize to any one who may have felt my earlier response was a slam on AFP. It is a good product, it is simple to set up and use, and I do run it on my web server.
