Personally I had no idea what "scoped to the current datasession" meant when I first came across it in VFP3. Sure it wasn't that hard to figure out, but it *was* an additional aggravation that could easily have been avoided (as your suggestion would also help, since the operation of "DEFAULT" would require explanation).
