I have a two table updatable remote view. The second table is used to get a description field for a foreign key value. The view is selecting only the description field from the lookup table, and that field is not marked as updateable.

When I try to save a record using this view, I keep getting an error "#1547 Cannot insert an empty row from a view into its base table(s)."

Why can't I save a record using this view?
