About a year ago, I converted a FP26 DOS app to VFP3 for a client that was making the transition from DOS to Windows. Unfortunately, the client's ability to purchase memory got stepped on leaving half of the computers at 4 Megs. This left me in a position of keeping half of the users using the FP26 DOS app while other half were using the VFP3 app. This continued for about 6 months.
Both versions of the app shared the same CDX files and I never had any problems. Since all 2x versions of FoxPro have the same DBF and CDX format, I wouldn't expect that 2.5 would behave any differently than 2.6
