I've used the example from Tastrader for writing to ini files. I'm using VFP3 but have just got in VFP 6 but haven't installed it yet - problems with CD ROM. Anyhow what I need to do if to make sure that when I write to the ini file it is a local ini file not the network ini file. What I am trying to do is to set some default settings for each user in an ini file on there local machine. By the way I have starting using some view (you had answered a questions earlier for me regarding relations and suggested I use views). Primarily I am using view to join several table into a flat file for lookup. Just wondering how slow that may be on the network. I set up a view in my dbc but was wondering is the sql run every time i use the view. How does it work.
