There is far more info than that. Dig through it all.

Eliminate code until you have the line or group of lines that causes the error. If I get a C5 error (since installing SP3) it is from something silly I have done.

>Checked them all(except the last-- I'm not a member yet :(). They all pretty much say DCOM must be installed-- it IS. I'm working with WIN98 on these systems. I actually experienced this error in the test shop today. WIN98 system, DCOM installed properly, etc. The application was idle for about an hour(I was at lunch), and I came back, exited out to the main screen fine, and then when I tried to exit the application(releases a top-level form and then clears events), I got a Fatal Exception Code C0000005 on the 'READ EVENTS' line in my main.prg(primary executable). This isn't the same place that our customer got it, but I believe both were closing a form(one a top-level and one in-top-level). I can NOT recreate this error at will-- I don't know how I created it to begin with. Any help VERY much appreciated. Thanks.

>>>Yes. The setup routine that originally installed the application was build on a VFP6/SP3 machine. In addition, I use the VFP setup program to install updates, so it would upgrade it if necessary. This error is occuring on ONE workstation on the customer's network(4 PCs total, including server)-- this station is used more than any of the others, however. Any ideas? Could it be hardware? Thanks.

>>>>The first question that comes to mind... have you installed SP3 on each computer running your application? You can do this by recreating your setup routine with the setup wizard and installing it on each workstation.

>>>>>I'm getting a Fatal Exception C0000005 error rarely when I 'DO FORM' a form. Nothing fancy is done in the init or activate of the form. I rarely do anything fancy in general. What issues still exist that cause this error in VFP? Please help. Thanks.
