But if it chages the shape of the form, buttons, etc or uses color schemes that make it difficult to determine enabled from disabled, command buttons from other objects, it definately is hostile. I think Cooper would applaud skins to some extent...that is, letting the user define colors, etc, but he would not like the idea of changing the shape, enabled/disabled distinctions, etc.
