I have a group header that has a currency field printed in it (begbal), the detail has a currency field also (logamt), and the group footer needs a group total of all the logamt in the detail plus the begbal in the header.

I had it working (without the header begbal) by creating a variable (runtot) that sums the logamt field (surprised it worked - first time working with variables in a report). Now I have the begbal and need that added to the total. How?

I was just going to add the field to the expression for the group total such as runtot+curswip.begbal the only problem that at the end of the "group" printing, the curswip.begbal is 0.00

Help!!!
