I had one that would rival yours when I first began using vfp...I didn't realize that recreating views added records constantly, and each user could rerun the same CREATE VIEW dozens of times per session. I finally noticed it was slow trying to open the DBC with MODI DATA, and found it had several 100,000 records! (mostly all deleted). So, I never use CREATE VIEW any more except in temp DBCs, as others have said...especially since I keep all server DBCs readonly now to avoid corruption problems...
