If I have a business object called Custobj and I drop it on a form, it will default to custobj1. I can then reference the object and all of it's property's by ThisForm.custobj1.

If you are not sure, open the form method and right click. Select Object List and you will see all the objects on this form. Select the business object from the list, click Insert and an object reference will be added to the method.
