>I want to give a user a keyboard command that will GATHER MEMVAR into textboxes. In FP2x I used ON KEY LABEL. Now I want to keep the dataenvironment inside the form. How is this done without a DO procedure?

You can catch the keystroke in the KeyPreview of the form, and then execute the code there, or better, in a custom form property. Is there some reason that you need to GATHER MEMVAR, tough? Wouldn't it just be easier to rely on VFP's buffering?
