JVP, in another thread, has been advocating stored procedures as the place for the data objects to reside and have all data access go through them.
If all the business logic in the data tier, what happens when it changes? You have to rewrite it for the the new back-end. That seems like a waste doesn't it. If you keep the business logic in the middle tier, you can change the back-end at will. Theoreticaly speaking of course :)
