That's more or less what I told him. He's an old DOS programmer and has no clue of window standards or behavior. Pardon while I bad mouth but He complained of my programmer limitations when: there is a character field of 10 in length, if you write ?substr(myfield,55,10) VFP does not return an error nor does any SQL statement nor is there a way to EVAL() this statement as false. It took me 30 minutes to get him to unerstand that if he gave me 2- 3 weeks I could write a program that could analyze every possible VFP function to verify that it fit into the field limitations. He still didm't catch it in the end.
