I have an application (Goldmine) which is written in dBaseIV and I don't have source available to modify. It allows one thousand user defined fields which my client has used 936 of. All of these are contained as fields in a single table. In order to access this table with Access 97 so the client can do some ad-hoc reporting, I am exporting (from Goldmine) a subset of this table with only the columns needed for a given report set. All of the numbers are fixed with 2 decimals in the expoirted file and the resultant table in the Access database.

The problem is that once the reporting is done and the data is tweaked a little, I need to export it from Access and reimport it into Goldmine. When exported from Access, all of the numbers are exported as fixed with 5 decimals. I can't import this into Goldmine as it has no formatting set to deal with the display of these numbers as currency or fixed 2 decimal numbers (all 5 decimals show up and the client doesn't want this.

Is there a way (a property setting or such) that assures that the fields as defined in the Access table are exported as they are defined? That is to say, fixed 2 decimal numbers get exported as fixed 2 decimal numbers.

TIA!
Tom.
