Sorry to break into a thread, but it sounds like you're trying to accomplish something I just ran into...

Is this a situation where you have an updatable view, but you only want a delete to affect one of the two tables?

If so, make sure the table you don't want updated is set for table buffering, and then issue a tablerevert for that specific table after the delete has been issued and committed.
