Hello everyone,

I developed an application using VFP 6.0 on a P3 600 with Windows 98 2nd edition 4.10.2222a. I created distribution disks for it as well as a websetup version of the system.

What we are finding is that the program will install alright on most machines but in some will come up with messages such as "File setup1.cab cannot be decompressed. It may be corrupted" when installed from a cdrom (which has been tested on other machines and works alright) and "cannot read file odbcstf.dll" when installed from floppies on the same problem machines. The problems have been reported on both W98 and W95 OS.

What could be the reason for this?


Thanks a lot in advance, I have ppl waiting for an answer and I have no idea. They suspect it could be the ODBC drivers, although I have the same drivers on my machine and they all work fine.
