It's just that everyone seems to have run into some variant of this problem in the past week or two, and noone else is offering suggestions on an approach to how to deal with. I'm assuming I'm not the first person here who used hardware capabilities in my FPDOS apps to exploit things like resident laser macros and common backwards compatibility who needed to make this transition...
