VFP6.0 SP3 - SQL Server 7

This one is driving me nuts. I am trying to set up a SQLEXEC-created cursor to update the backend. I set every "CursorSetProp" property up that there is INCLUDING CurosrSetProp("tables", "BackEndTableName"), but no matter what - every time I issue tableupdate I get a "No update tables are specified. Use the tables property of the cursor"

ARGHHHH! I have triple checked all spelling, etc. Verified that the "tables" property is correct with CursorGetProp, and tried it about 100 times! To Top it off - I went to the KB and found article #138094 which is an example of exactly what I'm trying to do. It uses the pubs database in SQL. I COPIED the code from the example - and guess what? It gets the SAME error!!

What the heck is going on here! HELP!
