Thats correct. In my app I have a table that was copied from an AS/400 data table using SQL Pass through. I make changes to a record. Then I am tring to push a record change back up to the AS/400. Our network admin suggested this approach. I create a fixed length record by exporting my record using sdf for the type. I then run a batch file that copies this file to the AS/400. Now on the AS/400 there is a program that will take the file I sent and us it to update the AS/400 table. What I need to do now is a program call to fire this program from VFP.
