I have a routine for backing up all DBF files in a specified folder that has worked fine for many years.

Recently I started getting generic Visual FoxPro error message dialog windows despite an active error handler.

The source of the problem is a corrupt table. Whenever the USE command attempts to open the table an error occurs but the error routine is NOT called.... Further investigation shows that ERROR() returns 0 (zero) but AERROR returns the following array
1) 1712
2) Field name is duplicate of invalid

Has anybody any suggestions as how to trap this error??
