On the control panel ODBC32 add the visual fox driver, then configure it, with the data source name, now in the database type you can either choose the DBC or Free table option, select the free table, then you must supply a directory path only the path, where the tables reside, then in your SQL statement trying issue the Select statement ,say that you main directory is called Mainpro and under you have a subdir called data, your ODBC set up will be c:\mainpro\data
then you will be able to use the free tables..
