I evaluated a number of accounting packages a couple years ago for a client. Accountmate was one of the better packages I looked at. I doesn't do a real good job with fund accounting however. If your looking for something to use in a non-profit environment with hundreds of funds that need custom data generated for each, I'd look elsewhere. FYI - the client chose to build a custom app.
