>I am converting an engineering program written in basic into vfp 6.0. I have not had the process behind the code explained to me, I am just interpreting the code as I go. I want to keep it as close to the original as I can because I really do not understand the process I am coding. Enough explanation, here is the problem. There is a basic command atn(). I beleive this is the arctangent as it still exists in vb 5.0. My problem is that vfp 6.0 has atn2, but no atn and atn2 requires 2 arguments. My trigonometry is not what it was when I was forced into math classes, so I am looking for help. How do I contert atn(var1) into an atn2 command? God forbid I should have to go get my trig book.

Hi Jason,
Will the ATAN() function work for you?
