Further to my last:

Don't think it can be a registration problem. Just tried running the exe on my own machine (dunno why I didn't try that before!) and get the same result. Instead of dialling, it brings up the windows dialog box to let me run the ddereg.exe prog in the Windows\System folder. If I let it do that, it then complains that it can't load the 'ddeml.app'.

Any of this mean anything to anyone?
