I have been asked to look at an OLD Foxpro for DOS program. It does not have the SET CENTURY ON in the driver program. The help file says this means dates are displayed with two digits and calculations assume the 20th century. The use want to continue using the program after 12/31/1999, i.e. year 2000. The application has screens in which dates are entered and there several date based calculations (that I found with just a quick scan of the code). I have been ask if adding the command SET CENTURY ON will fix the problem. I am not familar enough with Foxpro to feel comfortable about explaining (or even understanding) the ramifications to them. Question I thought off are:

1. The data entry screen only has space for 2 digit years. How will this affect data entry of dates (entering 4 digit years and 2 digits years).
2. How will calculation be affected. For example one calculation determimes how a payment is split been the interest and principle in the reminder of a loan? What will happen to payments after next january (original dates where entered with default value of OFF for century.

The botton line is can this be fixed with out extensive modifications to the application?

P.S. I am trying to fix a functional converted version of the application (done by some one else). User is concerned it will not be ready or correct.

P.S.S. I strongly dislike functionally converted applications, the are so hard to fix.
