I'm not sure why, but I have the same issues in VB and Visual Foxpro, but I CAN make a connection using Acess 97. My client has opted to go with an Access front end now, since time is of the essence...

FYI, I did try using a fully qualified name (using the schema prefix), and can USUALLY read the data, but I run into problems when I do any write operations (recordset.update in vb, moving a record pointer in VFP).

I did find out that the client is not running the latest fix packs for DB2, which may have something to do with it.

At any rate, it looks like Access is going to work...
