I am releasing an app with sample data in it. Each location will want to play with the sample data, then eventually put their data in instead.

I picture some sort of Utility/tool program that 1)asks them to click the file they are going to fill ('employee') and 2)asks them to click the old dbf to append into it ('oldempl').

To those who've done such conversions from fpd26 to VFP6, am I on the right track? Does a class exist that helps with this? A utility program?
