I am not a SQL Server expert. I know just enough to really screw things up! But I am learning.

I need to be able to specify a default empty date value for my datetime fields. I don't want the date values to be NULL if the user does not fill them in when the record is added. I am having trouble editing the values later if they are NULL.

What is the proper syntax to specify an empty date value for a default value for SQL Server 7.0 datetime fields?

OR

Why can't I edit the values on my VFP forms if the SQL Server values are NULL? BTW, this problem occurs with ALL of my field types.
Thanks,
