Ok...I've been watching this thread grow, so I guess I'll drop my 2 cents in the bucket as well.

I personaly have never paid for the PUTM. Quite frankly, I can't see why anyone has. True, there are some features that I miss out on, but I've been able to use the UT effectively for several years.

If it should ever get to the point where I HAVE to pay for it, well....I probably would. As matter of fact, I'll probably get the PUTM sooner or later anyway. Of course, keep in mind that there are a LOT of other resources similar to this one such as www.foxforum.com and a new one www.vfpguru.com, not to mention my ICQ ActiveList server for VFP. This one has been around for a while and there is more stuff on it, but I suspect if it becomes a strictly paid for thingy, that will change as more people will flock to the free ones.

As far as the performance issue, I agree that it's a tad SLOW. That's one reason I've remained a non-paying member. Personally, I'd like to see the thing as an 'active channel' !!!

Anyway, if you want to wine about being stuck with fliping the bill becuase your a PTUM I feel no sympathy.....you made the choice. If it gets dramaticly faster or turns into an acitve channel you can rest assure I'll be sending my Credit Card number, but for now I think I'll remain one of the cheapskates.
