William,

>>As for being friendly, I really do think there are numerous reasons to choose for being a non-member. Financial situation is one. Financial transaction problems can be anotherone (Not having a Credit Card for example).

>Last time I looked, the UT will take a check or money order for payment also. This is not a socialistic enterprise where paying members pay the freight for the non-paying ones.

I've heared to many horror stories about this knid of international finance trafic. I've experienced a few.

Besides, You've got a choice too ! you don't have to pay. No-one ever said to me that I've got to pay for this site. Michel allowed me to enter it free. You can do this also. That there are otherone who are paying for this site is none of my concernes.

But the real issue is, that we don't know if we can draw a relation between the poor performance and financial problems. Maybe Michel is already a millionare and doesn't need the extra money to keep up performance.

>>what if you only pop in once in a month. Do you think all VFP prominents would subscribe even when they only visit this site once a month ? I don't think so. I really think the quality of the site would decrease if we close the site for non-members.

>I doubt it. Where I come from you get what you pay for. When all of us stop paying, then we can be assured that the site will probably dry up.

Doubt it either. Many, many VFP sites are free. Why shouldn't this one be ? Michel gets some money for advertisement.

>>If you close the UT for non-members, you'll a lot of people will not choose to get a PUTM for all kind of reasons. Is this our kind of idea to help the ones who need help?

>Guess not.

I really think this thread has gone the wrong way by asuming the poor performance is caused by financial problems. If we don't get a confirmation about this issue, this thread is worthless.
