John,

>>I don't experience any problems with the RI code generated by the RI builder. What about this 64K limit ? Do you mean that the stored procedure code cannot exceed the 64K ? I didn't know this.... Are you sure ?

>Pretty sure. UDF files cannot exceed 64K without problems.

I did a search on MSDN and did find that compile program modules are restricted to 64K. However I don't know the exact meaning of "program module" According to the documentation a program module is exactly one procedure.

I could draw the conclusion that program files and there fore also the RI code are NOT limited to the 64K, but the procedures and function are limited to this 64K.

But i'm not sure however.

>Frankly, I hate using the DBC RI. Slow, klunky, and much better handled by data services components in a middle tier or emulated middle tier if the back end data store is VFP.

I agree, it's slow and klunky. But it allows us to fastly create RI constraints. When perormance is bad, I might write my own, otherwise I'm quite happy with it.
