>I would use _base.vcx... why do it yourself. You can copy base too, since they are all based on base classes there is no pathing issue.

Kind of what I was thinking...

>You might also want to use the full _FFC and ap builder. Hey, it's not perfect but it is better than starting from scratch.

Probably not. I still wake up in cold sweats remembering the code generated by the 2.x Screen generators (Hell of a job though Walt!) I think using the app builder would just make more work. I have given a cursory look at some of the other libraries in the FFC and wouldn't be opposed to giving some of them a whirl. The data navigation stuff especially.

>However, I assume you are charging more to the client to re-write everything that you own class libs do?

Yes and no. The work is strictly a per hour thing. Since they own the code, I don't give them anything I've done previously, pretty much write it from scratch. They will pay more to an extent since I will have to set up a framework of sorts from scratch. To save them a little money, I thought maybe the FFC might be of use. Have you used the FFC much? If so, what are your impressions? Depending on the scope of the project (I don't have all the details yet) I may even talk them into buying a framework. I did that with a project I did for the City of Orlando Police Department with great success. They wanted audit trails and security built in to the product and they wanted to own the code. I explained that the audit trail and security stuff could easily turn into 500 hours of my time unless we bought a framework. Looked at some and decided on ProMatrix (from your neck of the woods). 40 hours later I had a working product, they were absolutely amazed at the speed of that job.
