>>Johnny,
>> I would like to ask you a question. How much do you think hosting an application such as this really costs ? I can tell you from my experience that it does not cost more than $5,000.00 per year.

>This is not true. If you think that 5,000 US is all you need, well you must know that in Canada the market for internet services is very different of the on in US. For a T1 line it cost 1200$ per Month. Plus you must know that you need to count the time of a Developer like me or consultants like Nick cost. UT is there for all most 4 years now and we have many thing to support and do. What about the cost of administration. UT is not a small operation.
Why bother with a T-1 line at all? I pay $39.95 a month ($CAN) for an at home ADSL modem and Internet account. Performance is at least as good as T-1. The other evening I downloaded a 38 MB zip file. It took just over 5 minutes and WS-FTP said I got 997K bits per second. Maybe not maxed out pipe speed but I thought that was awfully good. That number probably does not include overhead bytes.
Okay, so business rates are more. (I have 2 dynamic addresses, it costs more for static addresses.) But certainly less than $1,200 month. Locally, there is a service provider that charges $125 a month for hosting. This INCLUDES a Celeron PC 64 MB memory, and 4 GB hard disk. You install any software you want (I believe the OS is included, NT, could be Linux etc.) and can host up to 4 web sites/domains. The connection if Fibre Optic, I think at 10 MBits. Using PC anywhere you can manage the box from whereever you want and have a high speed connection too.
The costs of net connections are going down, down, down....
