It wasn't meant as an insult- only that when this question is asked here, the reason behind it is usually that the developer is trying to tackle a problem from the wrong angle. I said generally to be sure that you didn't think I meant ALWAYS. Sorry if I came across as critical.

Well why didn't you say so? :-) Have you seen Ken Levy's Supercls utility? I don't think it does exactly what you are looking for, but it comes with source code that might give you some pointers.

You can use the vcx and look at the code you need to see.
