I use the SQL Server function 'CONVERT(CHAR(10), fieldname, 101)' on my select statements against SQL Server to get the dates formatted like a VFP date datatype (i.e., 12/12/1990). You can also run an update without having to convert it back to a datetime and SQL Server will accept it. I'm using SQLEXEC(), but you can try it out with ADO.
